The main group is hosted on Yahoo Groups. However, we also have a community on Google+, a board on Pinterest and a group on Flickr.
- Do I have to be a member of the main group to join the other groups (G+, Pinterest, Flickr)?
No, not at all! Feel free to join any of the groups. However, the pattern archive will only be shared through the group on Y! Groups.
- How can I pin to the Knits for Fashion Dolls Pinterest board?
Before you can pin to that board, you need to be invited to do so. The best way to do this is to first follow the Knits for Fashion Dolls board, then contact me either through the group or on the contact page and send me your Pinterest ID/email address and I'll add you to the board!
- How long do I have to wait before I'm approved to join the group?
There are two moderators who approve new memberships and we aim to approve most members within 24 hours. However, sometimes it may take a bit longer. If it's been a week and you haven't heard anything, contact me to make sure your application went through OK.
- What types/size of dolls do you share patterns for?
The groups' main focus is on fashion dolls (Barbie, Sindy, Tyler Wentworth, Gene etc) and BJDs of any size. Although patterns for other dolls (i.e. baby dolls) may be shared with members of the group, they will NOT be put into the Knits for Fashion Dolls Pattern Archive.
- How do I access the Knits for Fashion Dolls pattern archive?
Once you have been accepted as a member, a separate email will be sent with full instructions on how to access the Knits for Fashion Dolls pattern archive. The archive is currently hosted at Box.
- Do you only share knitting patterns?
Nope, crochet patterns are shared too!
- What about the copyright implications of sharing patterns?
All members are sent an email outlining what they can and can't share with the group. Full details can be viewed in the Knits for Fashion Dolls Files section on the Y! Group page.
